Hi Friend ~ the joy of the LORD to YOU !

You know, the many different ways that the Lord will speak to our hearts just amazes me.  One morning the Lord awakened me and spoke something to my heart.. "I will lead you into a sweet place, a land flowing with milk and honey."   Still half asleep, I was thinking at first that it must be a Scripture verse but then I thought.. no.. I don't think that it is.  Then the song "Take Me In To The Holy Of Holies" came into my head and I just kept singing it to myself over and over.  It was then I realized it wasn't a verse He had awakened me with, it was a truth He was trying to reveal to me.  A message I needed to hear.

As I was laying there with that song still going through my head, I thought of what had been troubling me before I had gone to bed.. about a time when I was led to pray with my mom but instead I let hindrances hold me back.  Sure, I had offered a word of encouragement that the Lord would take care of things but how much more she would have been comforted if I had shared my faith more and prayed WITH her and not so much just for her.  That's always troubled me because I do have a hard time sharing my faith with others at times.  It's difficult breaking free from all those old hindrances and just letting the Holy Spirit flow through me to do what I know God wants me to do.  Sometimes it's hard to open my mouth and pray along with others... to just let what He's laid on my heart come out.  I've no problem showing others in action the love and caring and compassion of Christ, and I do pray for others in my own prayer time, but sometimes I fumble when it comes to opening my mouth to share His Truth or in praying along with someone.  I don't want that same scenario with my mom to be repeated with someone else.  I don't want to feel more of those same regrets.  But I have already so many times when I've felt led to pray with someone or to say something and haven't.  Maybe you have too.

Then I thought of my son who I've been praying for to have a closer walk with the Lord.  I just want the Lord to reveal Himself to him as never before and draw him into a deeper relationship.  So I whispered a prayer for him and that was when the Lord began to show me that "that sweet place", that place flowing with milk and honey that He wants to take us into, is the sweet Holy of Holies.  The place beyond the veil.  The place where His presence comes to rest.  Where the mercy seat that has been sprinkled with the blood of the Lamb sits.  The place where only the high priest could once enter but is now made accessible to all who have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus.  It is the place of the most sacred.  The place where His sweet Holy Spirit resides.  God's Word says that the tabernacle will come down and God will dwell among men.  A foreshadowing of that has already come to pass, because Jesus has already come down and He dwells with us .. within us...  even today.  We are that tabernacle.. we are that temple.. we are where the Holy Spirit resides.  He is inside of us.  And He wants us to push past that veil of ourselves that still hinders us and bids us to come into His presence where He flows freely. The land of milk and honey.. it's overflowing... it's not a place in this world.. it's the place where His Spirit flows out of us.

It was then that I thought of this webpage I had started but couldn't seem to finish.  It's been months since I first started it.  That's because I came to a certain point where it seemed like I hit a wall and then everything on it just stopped.  I searched and searched for what God would have me to share, but it just wasn't to be found.  I guess that's because God needed to do more work in me first.  I didn't really understand what the signficance was totally of the poem I had written so long ago of coming out of the land of Egypt.. the place of captivity and dryness.  Sure I understood that's where He's leading us from.... but I needed something more.  Questions always came to my mind about "Where is that land that He's leading us to?  Where is our land of milk and honey today?"  I felt like there was more than just being set free from our sins, our past, our mistakes.  Now I realize, it's coming into the place where it's overflowing with His presence... where He is overflowing within us.

I thought of how much I've resisted going deeper at times... of really giving myself totally over to the Lord because there is a fear of the unknown.  I guess like many others, I find it hard to let go and would rather trust in myself than to surrender totally to God.  I know in and of myself, there is risk of failure and messing up.. two of my biggest fears in life when I let the mindset of my flesh take over.  Not so when it's God though.  And you would think knowing that would make it easier... but you know, I'm still growing in Him and sometimes I do still struggle with that.

Over the last several months, I've been learning the true meaning of being crucified with Christ and that it isn't me anymore who lives.. but Christ living in me.  It's something I've heard over and over.. and so have some of you too probably... and I guess it's just one of those things that can't adequately be explained or understood until you've experienced it.  I've seen that dying of flesh take place.  I've seen the old become new.  I've left the land of captivity and now He wants to take me further.

You know, we can be like the Israelites, always being held back from the land of plenty because we can't trust God long enough to receive His promises.   We can quench the Holy Spirit and hinder Him from moving us forward into what God desires for us.  But it's time to enter that land and take possession.  To go beyond the veil and let God do what He's always wanted to do for us... to saturate us with His Spirit so much so that it begins to overflow... overflow to all we come in contact with.  Like the levee that breaks when the hurricane comes and the waters spill over... it's an overflowing that can't be held back.  It's then that when He tells us to pray with someone, we will pray.  When He tells us to speak His Word, we'll speak.  And when He tells us to go, we'll go.  The walls our of own hindrances that held us back will be broken down and only what is of Him will come forth.

The sweet place.  The land of milk and honey.  It's waiting.  Take us in to the Holy of Holies and flow Lord.. just flow.

I pray this page has given you something to think about.  That God will use it to help bring down some of the walls of your hindrances too and that He will begin to flow out of you as never before.

May the God of our peace be with you always as you grow in the knowledge of His grace and great love for you.  And remember

Love in Christ,
"not I, but Christ"
Galatians 2:20
I'm moving out of Egypt,
the land of bondage and shame,
I'm moving forth in victory
because I bear the Master's name.

I'm moving out of Egypt
to the place where God intended.
Although I may not like the journey
there will be rejoicing when it is ended.

I'm moving out of Egypt,
leaving behind my doubt and fear,
trusting God will deliver me safely
and remain forever near.

I'm moving out of Egypt,
no returning to ways of old.
For God's leading to a land full of promise
with treasures that remain yet untold.

Yes, I'm moving out of Egypt.
Keeping my eyes upon God as I go,
In anticipation of good things to follow
as I enter where God's blessings flow.

The Move
In order for God to take you to another place,
He must first move you from where you are.

The move often seems like disaster,
but it's only the creaking and groaning of a reluctant door.

Something More

Lord, I know that You move mountains;
We can reach the distant shore,
But I struggle on the journey
And I long for something more.
As the daylight dawns there is hope,
I listen for your voice in my heart.

You took the pain for the sin in my life
On the cross, Your great sacrifice.
Your heart of love cries out for the lost
Gently calling me home.
I can never repay all the debt that I owe
So I give You my life for I want to give something more.

Lord, I know You walked on water;
I reach out to hold Your hand.
You have given me the courage;
You're the Rock on which I stand.
Falling on my knees as I pray
That You will lead me to something more.

You took the pain for the sin in my life
On the cross, Your great sacrifice.
Your heart of love cries out for the lost
Gently calling me home.
I can never repay all the debt that I owe
So I give You my life for I want to give something more.

Sometimes the waves will crash around me
Father I know that you're the calm in the storm.

You took the pain for the sin in my life
On the cross, Your great sacrifice.
Your heart of love cries out for the lost
Gently calling me home.
I can never repay all the debt that I owe
So I give You my life for I want to give something more.

Something more,
Something more.

"A man's heart plans his way
but the Lord directs his steps."
Provebs 18:9
There's no doubt about it ... God's crazy about you.  Sometimes it might be hard to understand why He would love you so much, but He does.  And He wants to bring you out of your captivity.  Maybe it's a lifestyle of sin, maybe it's an addiction, maybe it's fear.  Whatever it is that has you bound, the way of the cross does lead home.

JESUS.  He came to set the captives free.  He paid the price.  He bore the stripes.  He suffered the shame.  He endured the agony.  He felt the abandonment.  And He did it for you.  He did it for me.  He did it for all who would accept this gift of His.  It's not just your salvation He is offering.  It's your healing.  Your freedom.  Your victory.  He's already done for you what only He could do and that's the reason you can boldly approach the throne of grace and be pardoned from your sins.  That's the reason you can come to the Father in full assurance that He will hear your every plea.  That's the reason that you can know for certainty that when His Word says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1), it's true.  He wants to lead you out of that land of Egypt.  That land that is filled with bondage and death and despair.  He wants to lead you home.  He wants to lead you into everything the Father has in store for you.  He has good plans for you, not to harm you but to give you a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).  Come to the cross.  Find your peace.  Your hope.  Your joy.  Find Jesus.

Lord, You are the God of infinite mercy and grace and Your Word says "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." (Luke 11:10) You stand there waiting for us to come to You.  Waiting for us to give You our hurts, our disappointments, our failings, our sins, our fears.  We need You, Lord.  We need You to take control of our lives.  To lead us out of everything that has held us back.  Forgive us of everything that we have said and done that is not pleasing to You, Lord.  Set us free from all that has hindered, all that has kept us away from You and Your will for our lives.  Purge us, cleanse us, fill us.  Help us to be fervent in our prayers, obedient to Your Spirit, faithful in reading and obeying Your Word.  You are God alone and we want You to be the Lord of our lives.. now and forevermore. Father, I ask You to bless each person that comes to this site.  Speak to their hearts and reveal Yourself to them as never before.  I know that lives will be changed, Lord, because You are faithful and true and all Your promises are Yes and Amen to the glory of God.  I thank You, Lord, because JESUS NEVER FAILS !  To God be all the honor and all the glory and all the praise.  In Jesus name we pray... Amen and Amen.
